The Academic Senate is a legislative body and permanent advisor.
The Academic Senate is the main legislative body and permanent representative advisor authorized to formulate, propose, and approve resolutions on academic policy rules and projects, curricular projects, teaching staff and student standards; to promote excellence, quality and the general well-being of its academic unit and the University. The academic senates will collaborate with the University Council in the review, formulation, and articulation of the educational policy in accordance with the institutional policy of the University, propose academic, teaching and student standards and guidelines, and advise the main executive of the unit. (Article IV, 4.10 Constitution of the Academic Senates).
